The Eels have made a host of changes after three straight defeats. Bevan French (shoulder) and Jarryd Hayne (hip) are out through injury, with Will Smith and George Jennings joining the backline and Kirisome Auva'a shifting to centre. Kaysa Pritchard, Peni Terepo and Tony Williams replace Cameron King, Suaia Matagi and Kane Evans in the 17.

  • Williams to play in the middle?.

    • I'd imagine tepai will spend some time there along with scott and terepo.
    • I think he was playing middle for Wenty but could be wrong

    • Interesting, I didn't think he had it in him to play in the middle. Seems like an edge player from what I saw of him at his best playing to for manly. Maybe he has modified his game.
    • Williams future is in the gutz. Play hard run hard get a quick play the ball. The odd offload. That's what we need from him no less.
    • He is a big unit at 118 kg, could be a master stroke if he is fit.
    • He needs to run just wide of the middle, thats where he will do the most damage. I guess we will see how he goes in the middle.
  • not a bad backline considering, and a bit of size with Williams and Terepo
