By no means am I blaming the referees in our loss to the Sharks, but this is a little interesting
Storms V Cowboys
Penalty count - 20 penalties blown 11 - 9 Storms favour
Dogs V Panthers
Penalty count - 19 penalties blown 12 - 7 Dogs favour
Tigers V Broncos
Penalty count - 16 penalties blown 9 - 7 Broncos favour
Raiders V Warriors
Penalty count - 20 Penalties blown 10 a piece
Rabbitohs V Sea Eagles
Penalty count - 24 penalties blown 13 - 11 Rabbits favour
Dragons V Titans
Penalty count - 21 penalties blown 12 - 9 Dragons favour
Roosters V Knights
Penalty count - 17 Penalties blown 10 - 7 in favour of the Roosters
Now onto our beloved Eels, it took us 50 odd minutes to receive our first penalty.
Eels V Sharks
Penalty count - 15 total 9 - 6 Sharks favour.
We had 6 penalties given to us in the space of 30 minutes, where as for the first 50 minutes, not one penalty was conceded by the Sharks, can the NRL explain how the blow out of penalties among other games, but our game, we couldn't buy a penalty if we wanted to? I am not blaming the referees, but if you look at the penalty counts, the team that won that, won the game. Referee's play a crucial part in the game, and we were starved for 50 minutes, and when we were out on our feet, we got our first penalty.

Refs always give benifit of doubt to dominant packs who look and act like professional top four teams
They always shaft dominated packs of teams considered to be cellar dwellers or playing like amateurs .
We need to address this,
Offsides I agree
the knock on could have been a penalty against us - so I wouldn’t complain
That's just pathetic
And we couldn’t buy one in 50 mins
King i am happy for the refs to blow the penalties as long as consistency is shown; my issue is the square ups in the second half after we have been on the end of 5/6 in 40 mins. Cronulla wrestle as good as Melbourne and have for a while now.
Its no excuse to not perform /e execute plays but its hard to fathom. I felt for Brown as he was having a dig and got pinged a few times and you cannot tell me refs do not have a bias towards players / teams.
Parra did not do well in the ruck and kick / chase.
But the ironic thing is that sharks are usually on wrong side of penalties but of course against us they were 100% perfect that whole half !
I know they lost Maloney who probably gave away half their penalties but they still have the other dickhead fatfitta who gives the other half away. I told my mate wat h the final count will be close just to make it look even but by the time we got our first we were too far away on the scoreboard to take the 2 like they did. Did we deserve to win, no but let’s have a level playing field ffs to give us a fair go
