  As predicted,Marata an upgrade on Hipgrave.Lane really needs go up a gear and also hold the ball because once Carty is available, unless he goes to 14 then the only other spot open is I think  the 11.

  Keep in mind, last year Lane and Davey would swap in the updated team list 1 hour before kick off. So hopefully BA swaps Lane and Niukore. I think give Lane one more chance before he is dropped entirely from the 17. I think putting him on the bench is enough of a statement after just rd 1. Using Lane as a battering ram through the middle (from the bench) should minimise the impact when RCG and Paulo go off the field.

    Additonally, once Cartwright returns from injury, judging by his good pre-season form, he will go straight into the 17.  So Lane will have to really improve before BA cuts him from the 17 completely. Kafusi looks like he has taken his game up a level and we all know how good Niukore and Papali'i are. I hope Cartwright isn't used as an utility and we continue to keep Smith/Lussick/Rankin/Roache on the bench.

  Klein as ref = Storm by 20 plus.

  Also Roache has been named at 14 for Reserves, interested to see how he goes and how long until he is elevated.
