  • As expected.

Hopefully this game against Penrith is as good as our last one against them.

  • Ron's back with the team list.  Lub ya ron

  • No real back up in the 21 for Moses.  Looks like Hands has won the back up half position over Asi.

    • Asi is so bad in defence that he's not a realistic option to replace Moses, he was outplayed de luxe by Sanders in the reserve grade last week. Sanders should be the back up , you play the best player not the oldest one, not sure you watched reserve grade because no way would you suggest Asi as a replacement for, anyone.

    • I'd say it would be Gutho in attack, with Talagi going to fullback. This would only be a short term solution.

  • Reserve grade forward pack looks really really strong

    1. Talagi
    2. Lumelume - why the fk no Martin
    3. Loizoiu
    4. Cini - useless dud x 2
    5. Dunster
    6. Asi
    7. Sanders
    8. Ogden
    9. MA
    10. Grieg - sad not to see him in first grade but who do you drop for him
    11. Doorey
    12. Moretti
    13. Makatoa
    14. Mataele
    15. Guymer
    16. Parker
    17. Keir

    No Rodwell again either ...

    • That'sa strong forward pack.  I still don't know how they lost last week. 10 line breaks to 5 at one stage. Defence was terrible.  Looked excellent in defence.

      • Unfortunately our 1-7 are not very good defenders. Dunster is probably the best out of them but his acceleration is not as good anymore. So his turn and chase is exposed. Sanders is pretty good for his age. Loizou, Cini and Asi are useless tacklers. Lumelume cant read defence. Talagi is learning the defensive side of a fullback as you would expect.

        • Asi was the worst player for Parramatta.  They look better than last year.

          • Yep with Sanders likely leaving we really need to find a back up half. Asi really struggles against the bigger blokes defending in the halves. Need to look out for someone which is hard considerng most 2nd tier halves these days go straight to England rather than being a back up half. I don't see Lynn ready as a back up next year.

I would be tempted to do the following cup backline

            1. Talagi
            2. Martin/Cini
            3. Asi
            4. Loizou
            5. Dunster

How much do you think the game makes from State of Origin? Ticket sales alone would be huge. Let's say over the 3 games 160,000 tickets are sold for an average price of $150 each. This equals $24,000,000 plus broadcasting revenue and sponsorship…"
