Round 2 changes, if any. Big game for NSW cup on Sunday

BA is not one for reactionary changes, he usually sticks to squads for a week or two past poor losing performance. Though no injuries and no players returning, do we expect any changes next week? Well JA could make way, same with maybe Stone but it comes down to NSW cup performances. Rodwell, Greig, Cartwright, Ogden and even El-Zakhem should be on their toes for a good performance. Yes the last two are on development deals and need to be upgraded to come in, but a good performance leads to a selection later in the year.

Well let us look at the team overall, 1-13 i believe will stay the same with only Brown coming in for Kaufusi. Then comes the bench, well Maka i believe deserves to stay, Stone also though he could be more expendable. I would rather see Maka with Rodwell and Greig but to inexperienced on that bench, so could have Kaufusi for some experience. Rein could also push for spot but unlikely as he seems to be a squad player for Mahoney more than anyhting. Cartwright and maybe either Greig or Rodwell could come onto the bench for us, with a roughy being Perham for a 14 spot.

But do not be surprised with same 1-17 with JA being 18th man. But a bench of Makatoa, Kaufusi, Greig and Cartwright looks bigger, more impactful.

  • JA isnt making way whilst ever BA can make a case for his being in the side.

He's convinced himself Dylan Brown is versatile and any injury in the backline can be filled by breaking up our halves combo and putting in his son.. who has somehow already played more NRL than NSW cup like all the great prodegies.

    • Do the players patience run thin with JA? Do they agree with BA and let him pick JA? We will know soon enough by their results but do the players begin to speak up if it doesnt improve? i do not know as they might be hypnotised with they belief he is good and deserves his spot so it is not an issue.

      • they are only human, of course they will be feeling plenty of emotions about it, esapecially because its his son.

How do you reckon BC is feeling tonight and as he reflects on it this week and talks to his mates in the team about it?

Theyd obviously never admit it but this is the type of stuff that creates bad energy in a club, ive seen it too many times to count, with basically every club over the years

        • Do you feel this will unravel BA Snake?

If you had to predict now, what do you think the result is of BA and JA?

          • Just depends how our form is and if he keeps using him.

When you are winning you can do anything, but with losing comes pressue on everybody, thats when unrest can start.

once a seed of discontent is sewn in the team it can spread real quick.

Just depends on what BA does next, any more episodes like tonight the rumblings will start.

JA has no future at parra, once his dads gone its all over for him here.

Its a totally wasted experiment, we are putting our time and efforts into the wrong young bloke 100%.

            • See last year when we had the month from hell in QLD, you saw some cracks of unrest appear but BA quickly got a broom out and put the sand quickly back into the jar and closed it shut, give it another crack and more sand will escape each time. Reed and Papa are going for money but they will without a doubt speak their mind on the establishment.

This could be the year where a losing streak could be out of BA's grasp.

            • What happens if we had an injury to one of our backs last night?

What happens if the 9 hurst himself?

We're all very critical of the bench decisions, perhaps we don't understand the thinking behind them.

What a waste it is said to have JA there Vs another forward I who is used?

What would you say if we did and Blake went down with an injury and all of sudden, no Niukore, we have lane playing in the centres?

Perhaps BA is thinking worst case, but who wouldn't after having THREE top class wingers fall out of our options for the opening rounds.

LB think about all the real good halves youve seen in the history of the NRL.

Can you name me 5 or even 3 who didnt show some quality talents and skills that jumped out at age 19?

Neally all good halves show it early, their quality oozes from a young age, their vision and timing, their anticipation and awareness, their skills, passing, kicking, it jumps out at you.

Nothing jumps out about JA apart from his slowness and predictability.

We are 110% wasting our time with the wrong young bloke.

We'd been better going with a reserve halve with some experience and ability to be a advantage, not a young guy.

Its pretty disgraceful stuff from BA if im to be honest but he wont change for anybody, way too arrogant and lacking IQ to be a real good coach.

            • Fittler debuted at 17.

              Johns at 19.

              Thurston at 19.

DCE at 21 but Orford was infront of him.

But i see what you mean, there are hardly any late bloomers in the halves positions. It is a position where need drives out the gems in early age. A team can wait for a back-rower so they can get one at 23/24. A desperate team cannot wait for a Half so they try and get or develop one ASAP.

JA was debuted at 18 before he was even ready, it was uncalled for, as he had only debuted 2 players before that at 18 in 8 years (Moeroa and Kaufusi).

              • All those guys were oozing class at the same age and oozing class at 17.

It jumped out at you like dogs balls in juniors and as soon as they hit 1st grade.

We should be a in a spot where we are a good enough team to beat everyone."
