  • I would have Rankin in for Arthur and Hipgrave in for Stone.

    • Stone can play hooker...

      • Not very well though wile.

If you want cover for Mahoney then Lussick would have been a better option.

        • Thing is that Lussick is still pretty much a reserves player ATM,  Stone can cover for Reed if needed as he's had the time there already, his defense is vg and wont let the side down.  Reed may play in 2 halves, if he's ok'd to play, and Stone offers good alternatives in that role, he is not Reed but will handle the game ok, some readjustment to the playing position that he does know.

    • Agree! Very surprised Arthur got selected. Just hope he can do the job.

      • That's why you pick them Monto, to find out. You never going to know unless you pick them. We already know what Rankin can & can't do at this level, which is not much. He is our 4th string half.

        • So if Rankin is our 4string half and is capt of the reserve side and basically steers the reserve grade side around the paddock who is the 3rd string half? Are you inferring that J.Arthur can do more than Rankin? I'm not against young Arthur or any other younger player having a run in the NRL. I'm just a bit surprised at his selection.

          • Monto,  Jake is already better than Rankin and it's Jake who steers the Cup team around.   Have you watched any cup games months, doesn't look like it

            • Your joking of course! Which team are you watching? He must be the next best thing since sliced bread. But, hey don't let me the judge of booming talent. I'll just step aside and let his talent speak for itself and in the meantime perhaps just ship off Rankin back to the under 15's in Bourke.

              • are you serious monto? so you let an old washed up slightly above average reserve grader take the place of an up and coming 18 yr old just to satisfy your lust for rankin.

if rankin was any good, he would have been playing nrl regularly, not esl or reggies.

wake up to yourself and give yourself an uppercut - you obviously dont like the fact that we are looking to give young talent a go.

to me, it sounds like you prefer to go back to the "good" old days with the likes of carl webb, paul whatuira and those types rather than trial young talent.

Rankin is and never was a quality nrl player, he is above average in nsw cup but not good enough for nrl - and he no doubt knows it,
