Tallyn Da Silva will start at hooker for Parramatta with Ryley Smith unavailable due to a sternum injury he aggravated in last week's loss to the Warriors. Will Penisini will also miss Saturday's match, with Jordan Samrani stepping into the centres. Penisini left the field last week for an HIA but was later cleared and came back on. No space in the squad for young playmaker Jonah Pezet despite a successful return from injury in NSW Cup last week. Coach Jason Ryles has stuck with Ronald Volkman and Mitchell Moses in the halves.

  • I wonder if Brown will actually get another opportunity? Good to see Samrani returning. Not that fussed with Kelma

  • Dont under stand why twiddle is ahead of nanva when he has signed elsewhere. Not sure how guymer keeps getting a run.

    • Versatility. Twiddle covers 1-7. Nanva is only centre and wings. It also allows Lorenzo to get a full game in nsw cup to develop

    • Agree. Don't understand either

    • It's too early to give up on the season so you pick your best available team. As EA says Twidle covers more positions in case someone does a hammy pre game and 18-22 probably isn't necessarily in any order, any 3 of those can be cut from extended bench

  • Penisini has Osteis Pubis which is a pretty serious groin injury

Worst case scenario, he could be out the whole season

    • Really that bad

    • Oh darn, that's one of those super hard to predict injuries as to how long recovery will take. It's basically a "takes as long as it takes" kind of thing, and if you rush it it becomes chronic and sticks around for much longer.

    • Silver lining is Samrani gets game time. He looked good covering for Will v Brisbane and Saints.

  • Pezet not named in reserve grade and not named in the injury list.
