With nine new players and with recent movement of Allgood, Mossop and most likely Hunt from our top roster our NRL and NSW Cup teams look vastly different for Round 1, 2015. I think what stands out is the NRL experience and talent in our NSW Cup team and the quality of player that may end up starting the season in the Ron Massey Cup.
I've selected what I believe is BA's preferred top 17 based on past selections and moved around the players left over. I've left Hunt out and included Fa'aoso even though both players futures are undecided. What do you think?

I'd be shocked if BA went for two new centres being Takairangi and Champion for Round 1 and leave Morgan out. As Takairangi has been a regular NRL player for the past two seasons where as Champion hasn't, I think Champion will have to show his wares in the NSW Cup unless he plays out of his skin in the trials.
Of the listed NRL players above you gets dropped for Gower?

I think going with Jos Paulo and De Gois unsettles out bench a little and I would prefer to have Gower, Pauli or Wicks on the bench. But unless BA plays Jos Paulo as a back up hooker to allow Peats to ease back into playing big minutes in the first several rounds I think that will be the bench BA goes with. I think there will be pressure on Lussick for the first time playing in the blue and gold to make the top grade week in week out.
Matterson needs to dominate NSW Cup before even thinking of playing NRL. If Matterson doesn't have a top 25 contract you will hardly see in in the top grade unless we have a third bad season for injuries in a row.
Big risk to play Peats for 80 minutes in Round 1 after two significant operations with no back up. Folau not likely to have a top 25 contract. Folau may also be behind Goodall in the pecking order.
I just don't think sefa has the pace for 5/8.
