Rouge One Review

As a favour to a friend I went and watched this movie yesterday. I'm not really a Star War fan and didn't really understand a lot that was going on but thought I'd post my thoughts on it.Firstly... It's crap. It's boring up till the last 20 minutes. Here are some of the most confusing and frustrating things about the movie. When the big death machine blows up the city and the temple is crumbling, why does the half robot guy hold onto the Rogue One girl for like 5 minutes saying ' you must survive'? Just let her go dude! The building is falling down. Better you say it to her when she's in the space ship getting off the planet! When the bad guys fire the death ray, you notice two guys standing next to it, leaning out of the way so as not to get hit. You would think something that could blow up a planet would be powerful enough to fry these poor guys. What a crappy job as well! Why is there a 'main switch' to send the radio signal which is easily accessible and seems like everyone knows about? If it was that important wouldn't the bad guys hide it better? The Asian force guy with the stick. This guy is the best fighter in the whole movie. He is also blind but can predict where shots are coming from and when people are about to attack him. What confuses me is despite him having all these awesome skills, when he walks out in the open to find the main switch he 'bumps' into the control panel??I thought the tall robot was the best part of the movie. That said, when a robot is the best part, it doesn't say much for all the other actors!Very confusing movie but maybe some of you who have seen the movie can fill in the blanks?Xx

  • obviously the force isnt strong with you Alexia

    • Obviously ; )
  • Like you said "your not a fan and you dont understand " . These movies are designedfor FUN not for the intelligentsia to criticise .
    • Wasn't criticising PF just looking for some rationale behind some of the storyline. Seriously the guys standing near the planet killing death ray doesn't make sense wouldn't you agree?
  • LOL

  • Alexia you are slipping with the troll posts.

  • Star Wars was the first movie I ever saw back in 1977. I had so many toys that came out - looking back it must have cost my parents a fortune!

Like my love for the parramatta eels, I have passed on the Star Wars passion to my son and my youngest daughter. The other daughter is too smart!

I saw Rouge One with the youngest yesterday. It was enjoyable, she loved it but it is not the best Star Wars movie in my opinion. Worth seeing for all fans, but you do need to know the story for it to make sense. The Force Awakens was way better, but nothing beats the originals.
    • I don't get the whole Star War thing and that's probably why it was confusing for me.
