  • Time to stop with the mass changes to roster
We now have a highly competitive roster and need some stability and to develop understanding between players.
Focus on retention of those we want to keep and developing juniors who show promise
  • Main issues are the spine
    1. Peats - can he get back to his best and stay injury free
    2. Who will replace Gordon next year
    3. Should Norman be resigned
    • Very interesting questions. I think if Peats doesn't turn it up in attack in 2016 he might not be re-signed depending on whether Pritchard can stay injury free and how King develops.

Bevan French is the heir apparent, but again will he develop quick enough to find a starting spot in 2017, if not back ups including Hiku (who will be signed) and Gutherson aren't half bad as stop gap measures.

Norman - Can he step it up another gear for 2016. If not who is really on the market in 2017, the majority of good halves all came off contract at the end of 2015 and are signed to lengthy contract.

    • I still think there is a possibility of norman at fullback with a cornish foran halves combo
    • I dont. Normy doesnt want to play fullback. Thats why he left the Broncos.
  • We haven't even signed Hiku

2016 side is a pretty good one
    That you have there.

I'd rather Pauli or Edwards there instead of Degois though

    Peats can play 80mins
    • Hiku will be here.

    • Hope your right
  • I don't know if De Gois can be penciled in just yet. We don't know if a dual dummy half system will be used, if Arthur does go with 2 dummy halves I think we'll see Pritchard there.
    • I'm just basing on past performances. I know Arthur rates De Gois, and given Arthhurs preference for 2 dummy halves I thought it was reasonable to assume that De Gois and Peats would be the first choice.

But as you say the reduced interchange could bring on a completely different line of thinking in relation to how we use our dummy halves.
