Rory O'Brien

We have purchased this player on a 1 year deal from St George after he was released from his contract. Other than a picture of him first up in a Parra uniform have not seen him since in any training photos/videos. As he is 126kg he would be pretty hard to miss.

Does any know what is happening with him and how he is progressing, particularly from a fitness perspective?

  • The second pic is actually "The big Hass" Hasson, Ronald McDonald !
    • Well mate, your definitely the only person on here who can identify a player fromm the arse....
  • OBrien is a big unit at 195cm and 126kg. In the training shot he carries the weight well and looks fairly fit for his size.
  • We do need some size up front, and not just in the behind.

    • Mitchy mate, please....... i'll remind you this is also a childrens site

  • LOL check out the giraffe legs on the Hass, hes a Paul Hoff clone.

How about the white shoes and high black socks, its pretty clear we have a legend on our hands.

  • George Rose would have been a better pick up, will play off the bench for Wenty if he is lucky.

    • of course he'll play for Wenty... that's what depth players are for - until our first choice players become suspended or injured.

    • hardly screwed. If he is on the bench and we still have a rotation with 2 of either mannah, Paulo or wicks in the side having o brien and another prop out of Alvaro, kelepi, hasson , gower, Pauli or twal wouldn't be the the worst of our worries. I'd be more concerned if some of outside backs went down.
  • He's barely RMC standard, total waste of space.  If he is needed in first grade we are screwed.
