Pretty simple really
If we spend our entire salary cap - and the Roosters spend their entire salary cap = WE ARE EVEN.
The point of this blog IS..................................??????????????????????
Agreed. All this blog did was pick 34 random numbers and add them together.
I reckon you have undervalued alot of players, from both clubs. And overvalued a couple as well (Choc gets a considerable top-up from Manly).
Many players are on back-ended deals, and a couple may even be front-ended. Thus, it's very difficult to look at a team and assume they are over the cap in any given year. The Roosters roster is certainly coming back to the pack and this may well be the result of a few back-ended deals coming to fruition.
Corey Norman is on 2 mill over 4 years I think, but not necessarily 500k per annum.
TPA's must also be taken into account.
It's probably easier to accurately pick next week's power ball numbers :)
I'd take the Melbourne cup first 4 Kram.
5 - 19 - 26 - 32 - 33 powerball is 42
Who?
Exactly, instead of questioning how other clubs could possibly sign a particular player and fit them under the salary cap and taking wild stabs in the dark as to who is worth what. We need to start doing whatever it is they are doing to attract these players.
I'm just a fan of the eels, nothing more so I don't have the solution. But as an outside observer it does seem that the top few clubs for whatever reason (eg. location, reputation, club culture and history, early talent identification and retention, corporate relations etc) do seem to attract better players more easily. Maybe clubs like the roosters aren't doing anything special, they are just doing it better than the eels.
It seems the one area where we are hamstrung is third party arrangements, I always thought someone like Bill Moss would have been handy to have on board.
Regardless of these losses the Roosters are still at cap capacity and if they could nab JH then we are in just as good if not better position.
But to be honest if the NRL are fair dinkum neither club could legitimately afford him regardless of tpa's or marque allowances.
Anyway talk on Fox that he may be going to Detroit.
