The Roosters are at it again with their bottomless salary cap. I wonder if anyone at the NRL can add up because this is just ABSOLUTE CRAP. Fifita is being offered 1 million dollars a season so how the hell can they fit so many million dollar players into their salary cap. Yes there will be the one liner that Cronk is gone but lets face it, no one could work out how they even got him under the cap. I guess they are the best at cheating the cap.

Pretty simple Cronk on 1 mil now no cronk = 1 mil to spend, Thats if you beleive the bloke who added it up last year was right and also beleive the world is flat and in fairies and aliens
Agreed Steve and also if the rorters do not keep players such as Crichton (and if Mitchell moves on i said IF) then it can be justifed. But i look at the amount of rep players in a Sydney team and it makes me think somewhat cynically. Manly have Trjbojevic brothers, DCE and Tapau; thats a lot of coin; but Easts have that and some.
Yep and theres been a lot of noise regarding the Sea Eagles salary cap over the last two years and moving forward. You don't hear any of that same noise about the Roosters.

I read in the paper today how the Rorters were going to use Cronks money to buy Fifita in the $1mil range. I turned the page and there is another story about the Rorters and how they are going to upgrade and resign Latrell Mitchell to the $1mil made available from Cronks retirement. Now a step further last week they had a story detailing how they wanted Sonny Bill back and that they could use "yes you guessed it " Cronks retirement money. Now if i go back to middle of the year Politis was quoted as saying "we manage our cap better then most and have a tiered system where only one bloke gets the 1 milliion then it slides down and when a player moves off the list then his money goes to the next player" Then he nominated Tedesco stating he took unders to play for us and now there will be no doubt that when Cronk retries then Tedesco will get his top tier money. My question is How the F$#K are they able to turn Cronks 1 million into 3 or 4 Million. It appears the Rorters change their story to suit whomever is asking the questions. And one has to wonder if managing the cap better then most means that a CEO or two are not only on the NRL's paylist but also Mr Politis's.
