So initially I was shocked when Idris won last night, basically because I figured he wasn't eligible having played last year. Obviously he didn't play enough matches to disqualify him and I kind of figured he'd played well all year and was probably a deserving winner. However, looking at the full standings today I noted that Mortimer came away with 7 points, compared to Idris getting 1. Considering that Mortimer played in a side where Hayne was running away with all the points and he only played half the season thats a pretty massive achievement. I don't expect the points to be the definitive deciding factor for those player positions but surely they have to mean something. In saying this Josh Dugan beat them both, finishing with 12 points. He is probably feeling ripped off today.

One irregularity that I am confused is with the scores last night after the wash up f the Dally M's

Most notably I think Robbie Farrah finished on 24 points or something in front of Ennis on 19 Points so how did Ennis Win the Award in front of Farrah???

Or is there seperate Points system for playing Positions and accumulative Points for the major Award??

I dont really give a shit but if someone could clear it up cause i cant work it out

At least Hayne won it sure in hell makes up for the Man of the Series in the Origin he rightly should have been awarded but didn't
