Robson and Mortimer: Most inexperienced ever!

Jeff Robson and Daniel Mortimer will be the most inexperienced halves pairing to have ever led their side to a Grand Final victory if they win. The Herald noted SportsData had identifed that the 38 NRL appearances leaves them well-short of the 54 top-grade appearances of the 1979 St George pairing of Tony Trudgett and Steve Morris. In comparison, Peter Sterling (47) and Brett Kenny (31) had accumulated 78 first grade appearances when they won the 1981 premiership.
