Fuck what a signing.. surely we had some cash to splurge with all the nuphies off contract! But hold on we will sign them once we get belted on Friday!
Had they named 21 players yesterday they would have needed to get special dispensation from the NRL to playhim and one of the players in the 21 would have needed to have a valid reason to stop him from playing (injury or personal issue) and even then it would not have been a guarantee. A couple of years ago when Copley signed with the Titans ironically for a game against Parra, GC were not allowed to play.
He wasn't officially at the club yet he was still a bronci. It's the good old TBA again. So he will play (barring injury) but the spot was left open for him at it's withim the rules.
There are plenty of rules that teams don't exploit
One of the grand final favourites signs an origin gun and get clearance to play him this week or next while clubs like the Eels are fumbling around and can't even attract the likes of second rate DWZ.
I understand that Inglis exited rather quickly and that left room in the cap for the bunnies but it is clear that powerful successful and well run clubs are able to do things of this nature.
Luckily Parra have recently conducted a thorough review, re-signed a super coach and future representative style players.
"I guarantee you the squad as a whole is going into this preseason at a much higher base than they started 2025 preseason. Its laughable to think theyre not.
What developed over 2025 was movement patterns in defence, defensive structures and our…"
"Jarryd might not be able to string a sentence but neither was the late great coach Jack Gibson and we all know how he went.
Sometimes the better a person communicates the more dangerous they are in terms of ability to cover up their short comings."

They could only name 20 because they had no-one else available, they would have had to bring someone up from outside the top 30.
I feel a little jealous with this.
