Sam Moa is going to be key for success this year.
If he can get our middle soughted especially in first contact and we can keep our middle tight and eat yards while suffocating others we could well surprise a few teams.
As if I'm coming after Parra as constructed I'm coming through the middle winning the ruck and let the small guys run amuck.I think that's going to be key for success moving foward. That middle third opens up our width in attack and defense especially the latter you can really control edges if we are winning the ruck.
Sam Moa your not talked about but I'm watching,
Agreed coryn. People don't realise the roosters went hard for him but chose parra
I've got a feeling De Belin will be starting prop and junior will come off the bench. I'm not sure how everything else fits together but that's what my gut is telling me.
I was thinking JDB would start at 13 and either Walker would replace him, or he'd move to prop when Junior needed a rest. He can hold the defence in the middle without Junior which has been a weakness. Then he'd come back on wherever we'd need him in the 2nd half.
True it could go that way, junior is getting towards the end and I'm thinking it would be wise to not burn him out right at the beginning of the contest each and every week - long season. Plus that impact type role plays to his strengths.
Also Tuivita is at the opposite end of his career and needs some hardening up for what's to come. We are spoiled for choice, nice to have options.
This Junior is fine I'm starting him everyday past Sunday and his second stints in the back end of the year were outstanding.Make no mistake Junior Paulo is still the numero uno prop at the club.He starts and leads the pack on the park IMO.
Its the other blokes around him that need to come with him. There the key.Guys like Morreti Tuivaiti need to make the next step or step aside for someone who can.
As for edges personally I like the best defensive options with new combinations on both side I'm going with the best athletes and that's Kautonga and Williams.Tuilagi is great with the pill but he's very linear and straight linish for me and gets caught defensively especially when he gets tired.
Bench TDS Tuilagi/Tuivaiti Walker and Morreti right there we have big bodies leg speed and ball playing.
lomax against us be interesting..... tip Rylesy ...look for the Muster kick to the wing.......ffs what a team I support
Lomax will line up against Fox, and Fox will burn him. Unless they play him in the centres.
Depends who we get from them but more likely Lomax plays Centre.
