Great batsman and always seemed a good fella, way to young, blessings in his next journeys.

Sad news, 53 is way to young.
He was an outstanding batsman with an outstanding technique. Seemed a top bloke as well.

Great batsman. Great Captain. Great for cricket. To me he was right up there with Sir Richard Hadlee for NZ cricket. Sad news indeed.
Sad day. Superb cricketer, very stylish player and technique was superb. His averagee of 45 would I say be more than that now, particularly with the bigger bats; less bouncers per over, and of course boundary ropes. I know we cannot always compare eras, but he scored hundreds as against The Pakis, Windies and Aussies. Great player and great is used too often at times.
It is always with great sadness the feeling I get when a CHAMPION passes away. World class bat that could play in ANY SIDE in any era & not be out of his class.
Always played with integrity, courage , style & class
