Ridiculous repercussions of eels v warrior's game

I can't  believe  how much bulls@$t has gone on about how warriors were 'robbed'. Did any of these people watch the first half we were getting  canned.  We normally  are on the receiving end of bad calls. Next time it happens  to us which will probably  be next week we and the club should carry on about it.  Never when we get dudded do the media and other fans care other that the storm semi final2017. I have had enough  of this comp and the rubbish it has dished out.  I was at the Newcastle  game this year we got 2 forward pass calls could back when we would of scored.  Those were more back than yesterdays one. Also knights were offside for most of the game.  It's  an absolute  joke the eels and the fan get treated like shit but have to suck it up (even though I don't). But when we get the rub of the green look out

  • Pmate2, we all understand your frustration but that's our lot. At least we not despised like Manly are by every other clubs fans.

Strangely though we have received a fair "rub of the green" a couple of times this so the penny might be turning? I reckon we an be thankfull that BA has never used bad refs as an excuse, at that rate we have not alienated ourselves from a refereeing joint animosity. We even got a couple of good results under Ashley Klein this year and one win under Henry Perenara. Things are looking up my friend.

    • Parra has also largely fixed the dumb penalties. Refs reward teams that play by the rules (unless of course you are Cameron Smith), and you can see Parra getting more of the 50/50 calls this year than in past years.

  • Totally agree mate. We had some shit calls yesterday too. But you don’t hear about those in the papers! Let them whinge. They look like bloody sore losers. We got the 2 and that’s all that matters!

  • take out a few of the smarter ones and the collective IQ of rugby league journalists and commentators would be bordering on mentally retarded.

The pass by RTS was forward . Everyone understands the laws of physics and throwing something backwards at speed means it lands forward of where it was thrown. The issue here is RTS upper body wasn’t facing north south , so when he threw it out the back of his hand it went forward in the diagonal direction he was facing . Blocker straight away said the only way the ball could travel out his hands in that position was back .. doubt he even looked at the position of his body .

The one on one strip call was harsh on NZ . But imo if you leave it that late to peal off you’re running that risk . You’re making it a subjective play to the refs and it’s a cheap attempt to get the ball back , albeit one within the rules . If you want to try and get the ball back that way you have to know the refs won’t always get it right in real time . That one went against them .

There was a blatant knock on in the lead up to the Luke try.

I don’t think we were a 9-2 more disciplined team though. That would be the issue if I was involved with the Warriors. the match was pretty even and at stages we were getting really outplayed , they probably earned a more even penalty share .

It was far from the robbery some people are calling it though. There’s so many simpletons in the media .

      • Don't forget the kick that ricocheted off Moses in the first half, where the Warriors got 6 more tackles. Moseds couldn't avoid it, and did not play at the ball. That decision led to one of their tries.

    • @GWF watching live at the game, most of the warriors were jumping and hitting hard but it was very messy, they only got blown for 1 offside all game because of all the dangerous tackling

we looked much tighter and cleaner. it felt like it should be a lopsided count our way and not more the other way like you are saying

  • Parramate I rembember that game well. Mitch pierce penalised either side of half time for being offside by either referee (problem with two refs)when there were multiple offences for being offside and someone should have been binned.

  • Who cares, we got the 2 points! Let them whinge and vent all they like. I'm usually salty after a loss too.

  • Mate the competition has been rigged for years. That's why the Storm and Cam Smith get away with so much. That's why past era's of Rugby League were far superior with 1 referee and 5 metre rule etc.....
