Ricky Stuart Belongs in an Asylum

NSW coach Ricky Stuart has now IMO proven that he is insane. He today chose Jarryd Hayne to play 5/8 for City in this weeks City Vs Country match. Jarryd Hayne has stated that he is not playing at 100% for Parramatta. As a coach, who is looking to have his players fully fit, would you pick Hayne when he's not 100% and could do with a week off. The other question is obvious: why is Hayne playing at 5/8. It has been said time and time again that Hayne's best position is at fullback. Hayne plays his best when he has time and can chimenin when he wants to. 5/8 does not give him this position. Hayne has also stated that he is out of his comfort zone playing at 5/8. Ricky Stuart has lost grip on reality. How can Hayne be ahead of Maloney and Mullen given those 2 haven't been chosen at 5/8 in the game. He's even saying he may pick Carney at 5/8. You need more than a few good games to get into Origin. Mullen deserves the shot, he's consistent and he's been there before. Experience is something that is needed by NSW. Having a hot and cold player like Carney in there can damage the team rather than better it. Stuart needs his head read and soon.

  • Carney and Hayne both have Dally M medals...your argument is invalid

    • Both Hayne and Carney were playing fullback when they won the Dally M.
    • You have just proved Supereels point yourself.

Hayne won his at fullback so.. play him fullback.

Give  Mullen/Malloney their chance in their position. Hayne does not even wanna play at 6 yet.

      Why does Ricky persist?

  • Hey don't knock our next coach. Hayne will kill it at 6 wait an see. Fuck me we have the worst coach in parras history yet you wanna bag Ricky. Hayne and the other eels need a fuckin coach not a marathon trainer riding bellys coattails
    • If Stuart become our coach I would no longer be a Parramatta supporter. I have supported them since I was 5 years old but I would NOT put up with this muppet as our coach!

  • LOL All interviews i have seen of Hayne on this he has said he is up for it. (this was even before the team was officially announced tonight.)

    • Hayne is quoted as saying this: "It would be out of my comfort zone but I'm confident in my ability." Was everyone watching with wall over their eyes last season? Hayne struggled at 5/8, this season he's already got numerous try assists and 4 tries from fullback. We all know about Hayne's knee injury and the longer he stays off it the better. I don't doubt Hayne's ball playing ability but fullback is his preferred position.
  • It is his preferred position at the moment but he has said himself that its very likley he will move to 5/8 later on. He wants to play for NSW and this is probly the only way he can.

  • bock chow, bring on ricky stuart then ;)

  • hayne should be the fullback

    Carney should be the 6

    Mullens should be the 7

thats what my 1 6 7 would be for origin
