Rhys Martin

Apart from urgently needing a dummy half, we also need some backrowers with a bit of skill.

He has been tremendous for the Dogs, plays with a tonne of energy , can offload, pushes up in support and kicks goals. Dirt cheap and off contract, offer him one !

  • Him kicking goals is such an important note. We could’ve got him but Lane probably took his spot lmfao
  • Much prefer Martin over lane. Probably cheaper.
    • Doesn’t mean he still can’t sign good goal kicker is what we need

  • Concur

    • He is off contract on basement money throw him a bit of money. Has to be more appealing then the bulldogs contract
    • Poppa in the real world of some, all players who don't sign with parra are cheap and missed opportunities.  It is easy to just sign a player cause he has potential you just have to pay a little bit more and they come running.  Yet apparently I'm a unicorn.  Kinda makes sense considering the fairytale world some seem to think they live in that they see unicorns.

Then when it doesn't work out and player not worth the extra we paid they can continue their rants about poor recruitment.  Sadly the truth is of all the players that show potential only a handful really end up with solid careers as shown by the average nrl career lasting less then 50 games.

We have been poor at talent identification and attracting players for a long time pre BA.  If the review is to work that is where I would start and buy the best talent spotters in the game.

  • Get him now plus he’s a goal kicker better than gutho fuck off tepai
  • We just need Taupau or a hard running forward that can off load. Can anyone remember the last time one of our forwards made an off load, creating 2nd phase play?
    • The last time we had  coach that would let them, Daniel Anderson?.

  • He's doing what i'd hoped Tepai would be doing for us. Not sure what's happened to him
For some reason BA uses him as a middle forward doing donkey work
