Well I can sympathise with player on this one; how many times have clubs told players to look elsewhere? and why didn't Canberra lodge the contract? Good on him...and guess he did not want to get his fingers burnt....
Wizards, spot on. Sticky has the media in his pocket, so if they do not make the 8 this year, he may have some questions to answer. But I am sure Paul Kent will look after Sticky

But in our case they apparently advised valid contract
It's Hopoate's camp pushing the contract agenda, Wile.
What Hopoate signed was a letter of intent to re-sign, not an actual contract and that's why nothing was officially lodged with the NRL by the club.
Hi Ricky, if its a letter of intent, i don't think that is a lawful contract, however he will able to claim damages. How much who knows. Probably the difference he will be getting in his new contract.
