Results keep falling Parra's way

As the teams in front of them keep falling over, an unbeaten run by Parramatta could place them as high as fifth by the conclusion of the competition proper. With both Penrith and North Queensland going down to the Dragons and Storm respectively tonight, the Eels could be as little as two points from fifth place after this round. The Sea Eagles will have a chance to snatch fifth if they can topped Souths but that would still only leave the Eels three points from fifth and Manly still have the Titans and Storm to play this season. While the Eels cannot move into the eight this round, a win over Newcastle will now leave them only one place from equal seventh position, with a possible log-jam of six teams separated by the solitary point.

  • It amazing the second half of the year for Parra and it not overyet?
  • After watching the dragons play last night I really think Parra can beat them. If our defence can hold up we have the attack to worry saints. What a game this will be if the Eels keep winning and we can make it to 5th spot. Bring on the finals.
  • mark my words parra r goin to make the 8 this year
  • I think DA is finally getting the team he wants - a bummer the Rabbits look like winning - Fuck Manly!! - Anyhow, Parra is currently the nd best team in the comp - we beat the Drags in the final round...Momentum!!!
  • im actually happy manly have lost to the rabbits

i mean, techinically parra fans would want the eagles to win....but this will lessen the gap between us and 5th spot...=)
  • Was actually good for us that the bunnies won..they still have a more difficult run and it keeps manly closer
  • We're really going to struggle to make the 8. Not only are we 3 points out (at the moment), we have a very ordinary for and against. We need to win games and we need to start putting some big margins together. We've done it before and we can do it again, but it is going to be tough.
I watched the Dragons game last night and I thought they were solid but definitely beatable.
In '05 the Tigers came home with a wet sail, crept into the top 4 and went all the way. It is certainly possible and I think this year's comp is there for the taking by the team who is in the best form come September.
    • true true u got point
man we should of put like another 2 or 3 trys against the sharks
  • I'm scared of the Rabbitohs especially because I bet $5 that we'll finish on top of them on the ladder. My chances are going down but they are still high. Hopefully they start losing...

"Funny how a lot of BA fan boys on here are now jumping of the bus but blaming everybody else. A lot on here have known and been saying for years that the coach was not the only one responsible for this situation. "
