Bloody hell, I didn't expect that this site was a discussion board for fans of Steve Sharp. Is it ok if I have my opinions on this "open discussion forum" ?
Anyway, here's another response from your favourite ex Eels player. Love him or hate him, I think he raises interesting points. INTERESTING points. Hear that? I said INTERESTING only. If like to look further into some these points.
Reality Check on Sharp’s Propaganda II.
Police called over Parra ballot clash.
Telegraph….. Phil Rothfield.
Ah yes, here we have Steve Sharp’s dutiful little minion Josh Drayton using his persuasive political fallacy to get Phil Rothfield( Denis Fitzgerald’s ol’ mate) to write about a Sharp stitch up on membership the day of the election. Denis’s mate Phil writes, “The Daily Telegraph obtained CCTV stills of a bald man remonstrating with staff and security before police arrived. The Eels last night warned all members on the eve of the election.” Josh Drayton then makes claim that,” An individual claiming to be a member had to be forcibly removed today, during the incident the person told club staff that he obtained his original membership card from former chairman Roy Spagnolo who had requested that he send a photo personally.”
OK let’s give some truth to this story as Sharp’s “Court Jester Josh Drayton” seems very liberal with fallacy and very deluded on actual fact. The gentleman in the photo with the Eric Grothe hair cut (its coming back in fashion) just happens to be a Bank Manager in Parramatta who is a regular at the club. On this occasion as he walked into the club he realized he did not have his card on him, explained to the doorman who knew him, and directed him to the front desk for an interim card. He is greeted by the Bevan Paul CEO and Josh Drayton’s “integrity team” who cease the moment when up on the screen this members card has been endorsed by the previous 3P board. Straight away Bevan Paul has called security to surround the man, had staff call police (who just conveniently happen to be outside the club waiting) made sure the camera had been directed at the Bank Manager and made sure to aggravate the situation. This is our club under Steve Sharp!
If our Bank Manager was not a member why was he allowed entry with his card the previous days, previous weeks, previous years, why did this incident occur the day of an election. Just let me explain to those who are not aware, Yes so we have Bevan Paul calling the police on a respected member of the business community of Parramatta, slandering his good name so Sharp can have a crack at the Roy Spagnolo board the day of an election.
To all voting members the above article lay’s bare Steve Sharp’s devious plan to stop people voting in League’s Club election over the next 4 days. Keep your choice of how to vote card out of view, because if it is not one of Sharp’s you will be targeted and lose your membership and right to vote. If you are approached by club staff or management and/or security, have a witness with you and/or i-phone camera at the ready and film the avid “attack” on your rights as a member of this club.
Ask the interjectors their names and ID, film it and keep possession of your membership card and demand to know whether they are an employee of the club, a security firm or the Electoral Officers staff. This is exactly why this election is to be held over 4 days at 2 venues so probity cannot be policed. How can the Electoral Officer in charge be in 2 locations? If it smells like duck, it’s duck!
The other unusual consequence of this article is its author, Denis Fitzgerald’s best mate, Phil “Buzz” Rothfield. By “Buzz” doing this article, does it signify an allegiance between Steve Sharp and Denis Fitzgerald, as Sharp has also done an article with Denis Fitzgerald’s other best mate, Dean “Bulldog” Ritchie. Would we have to assume a bit of skull duggary at present, taking attention away from members to what is really going on?
You see when Denis Fitzgerald actually ran this club, on the day of the election, he would send a luxury Silver Service Taxi over to the Shire to pick up Phil Rothfield and bring him to the club. On arrival Denis would greet Phil, hand him his membership card and food and drink vouchers, and up Phil would go and make his mark, then head to the Tingha Palace for a slap up all you can eat, throw down as many schooners as applicable whilst playing the poker machines with a Craven A, then out the door to be greeted again by Denis, hand the membership card back and into the Silver Service back to the Shire to his “local” before the jump on race 3.
I wonder if Dean “Bulldog” Ritchie had the same slap up time on the members of this club. Yes interesting to know why Denis’s best “scribes” are writing fallacy on Sharp’s behalf? Yes interesting how a respected Bank Manager gets targeted after slanderous accusations about his integrity and his membership. Disgusting!!!!
