"Yes he is an executive director. Not elected from the board, he could be replaced at any time, i.e not an elected director."

BA was extended late last year, Lavaka was re-signed for at least a further year and it appears there's an option for an extension into 2017.
How many comps have we won again?
BA for a further 2 years and Lavaka was definite a year and then there's probably an option to extend it into 2017. What was so hard to understand about that?
We finished 10th last year and will go close to that again this year.
I mentioned this was a big part of the Foran negotiation, and said youd be hearing more in the next few weeks, well here it is.
Foran wanted a guarantee BA would be here for the length of his contract, believe what you will from all parties involved but this is how it is.
We will keep it hush as we dont want to look like we are giving in to the demands of potential signings, but Foran wouldnt have come without the promise of BA getting an extension.
It works out OK for us because theres no doubt BA will be in demand in the future, this ties him up for a bit longer and it shuts up all the peeps who whinge about not giving coaches long enough, he is going to get a good crack at making the eels his own.
I think hes worth the risk.
In this day and age what is a contract worth. By memory not 1 of our last 6 coaches has served out the term of their contract.
Given the current political climate I doubt that the board would be wanting to keep news such as the coach re-signing quiet. There's been rumours galore that BA's been under pressure as some board members wanted Anderson as coach, if we did re-sign BA on top of the 2 years we gave him at the end of last year I imagine it would be pretty big news.
What he's done in transforming the club’s attractiveness towards recruiting players must be respected.
Any side with a good forward pack (which BA can bring) as well as a world class half (Foran) should be playing deep in the finals each year with a strong hooker/fullback.
