Reni Maitua grub?

Despite the opinion of many I really liked Maitua when he played for the Eels. Not so much for his ability but more for the person he'd become. He came back to league after his fuck up and seemed calm, focused and was seen as a leader. Now I see him and to me he looks and acts like a loose canon again. Is it just me? Maybe it's just what the grubby Bulldogs jersey does to some.

  • Thought he was a class act
Sorry he was dumped - would have been a better lock for us this year than Sefa
    • Yeh reni's a real class act on and off the park, fuck me..

  • It's that fucking haircut
    • Lol
      Yeah he's lost it
  • It's the company he's keeping. Lie with dogs....
  • The bloke is a bit off the rails, but hardly what I would call out of control, are you sure a tinge of jealousy ain't creeping To your Blog EAM in he came from the Dogs to the eels, did nothing, and went back to the Dogs, and now is on the verge barring one game,of playing in a GF wether or not he deserves to be in that position is one thing,It's just I read blogs and every fans seems to grudge ex eels players doesn't matter who they are, when they go to clubs and find themselves in a successful side, whatever it is who are we to judge, good luck to them I say!
    • Tinge jealous? Na, he hardly ever plays for the dogs.
If he were killing it then maybe I'd be jealous.
  • Eelsageme, mate Reni was a leaders asshole, he was a very poor influence on the young guys, in fact they were supporting him, he was a toxic energy around a club and is completely useless on it.

    This blog is freaking ridiculous.

    • mate, I said he was seen as a leader - why else was he made co-co-co captain? Not sure agreed with it but i'd like to think they'd no better than a bunch of hacks on the internet.
    • Yo Frankie & Snake, the last few years of bad performances does not qualify you guys as team specialists. Far from it.
The team live and breathe the game. Think I'll listen to them first (even if they get it wrong) before a bunch of internet trolls.
      Peace.

I reckon if Semi, Haynes or Sivo had persisted in the NRL we might be talking about them breaking the NRL try scoring record. I think Semi and Hayne were close to 1 try per game average over 100 games? Thoughts?
