This is a little of topic but can someone please explain this to me. Why is it that this 'obstruction' rule results in so many no try decisions from the bunker yet we have very little if any obstruction decisions during the other 500 odd plays throughout the game? Are they trying to tell me that the only obstruction plays that happen are in the 1 play leading up to a try? I for 1 see the same obstruction plays ( that the bunker would penalties ) during the run of play that would result in 40 plus penalties per game. Is an obstruction only not allowed in the act of scoring a try? Is only the bunker allowed to rule on the obstruction? Are the on field officials not seeing this?

  • Yeah I don't know about any of that, but is anyone watching some of these young Broncos forwards. Some worthwhile investments there which we should be looking into. Also just looked at josh addo carr's profile on the west tigers website. It says 184cm tall and 81kg. How big is Bevan French again?
    • French 181cm 83kg
    • Agree. Cheaper home grown talent. Give him ago before throwing millions into hayne
  • There you have it, give French a go I say. We need someone to put some spark into our attack and he's just the man for the job.

  • This is probably the first time all year the Broncos have played under the cap and look what happens!!!!!!
    • Big g. It is a funny situation when one team loses 6 or so internationals and still has 5 left(or whatever the number is) and another team gets stripped of points and labelled cheats (probably correctly labeled under the rules) for guaranteeing payments to fringe first graders!! (I know some of the payments were to proper first graders but plenty were not)
    • greenturd would've watched the game and said to himself the salary cap is working.....the flog.
  • Slip I agree with your questioning 100%. I often think the bunker should ask the question 'would this be a penalty if it happened on halfway'? there are definitely two sets of rules. One for try scoring plays and One for the 400 odd tackles that happen everywhere else
    • They also have completely different rules in the last 10 minutes compared to the first 10 minutes, and during golden point it's a free for all.
    • No penalties!!!

1. Who would you like to see get flogged in Vegas - Gutherson or D. Brown. Or maybe they don't concern you and are only focused on us. For mine its Gutherson, I've never liked him off the park. Sure on the park he gave everything, but his contract…
