Refereeing in Raiders v Storm

Been watching the first 15 mins and in every defensive set the Storm constantly either  hold down the tackled player or infringe the ruck. They have been offside 2-3 times and they get away with it every single time (bar once).

I'm competely disgusted in the favoritism to the NRL's golden boy.

Different year, same sh*t.

I hope Sticky has a go at the refs after the game.

  • I have to agree. I’m seeing two interpretations of the ruck.

Its a shame because The Storm really are an amazing footy side. They’re clinically dissecting The Raiders down both edges particularly the right. But their defence in the ruck is just grubby and no other team in the comp would get away with it. It’s like the refs expect it and are ok with it. It drives me crazy.

  • Im also getting totally fed up with the Melbourne Storm continually winning games by the assistance of refereeing calls. They continually hold down players and are inside the ten 75% of the game. Cameron Smith is the biggest cheat in the biggest cheating team in the NRL. Its a disgrace and tired of the Storm having the monopoly in this sport.

  • Funny how when the game is out of reach for the raiders it starts to even out abit

  • The fact that the refs aren’t going to actively look for penalties is a good thing I guess, but it also means the storm are morals to win the Comp because they are absolute geniuses at stretching the rules.

    • This

  • Mate it was obvious last week as well.

Refs have changed nothing when it comes to manufacturing the results required by Betting Agencies and NRL.

Referee match fixing is alive, well and thriving.

Last night, as woeful as the Cowboys were, they wer never going to be allowed into the game by the ref.
