Refereeing

I don't want to make too many excuses, but was it just me or did every single decision go against us in that first half.I still don't believe that third try was given.Did anyone see that moment when Jarryd said something to the boofhead in pink and he reacted to it? The game played like he made the decision than and there that he was going to cut us down to size.I'm whinging. I'm going to stop. I'm upset.

  • yeh we got punded, if ya wanna win a comp u gotta be able to match up in the battle against all odds. We had no thrust with the ball, no depth, no line speed in defence and dragons were the opposite. Yep pretty shitty, got a headache. Todd lowrie got lifted above the horizontal and dropped on the back of the neck. NO penalty given. Next play we knock then they score. Summed up the night
  • i agree with what u say the refs where 1 sided all game we did a lifting tackle we got in trouble they did one nothing happened lowire got done in the ruck we where in trouble for that they did same thing no penalty 2 tries where not tries thats why billy said refs call why go up to billy if your gonna say try
  • Please continue to whinge!

I never blame the referees for outcomes as I feel that throughout the season some calls go your way and others do not. In the end I feel like it all evens out. Tonight I had BIG problems.

First of all, I had problems with the 'Ref's Call' decision. Nowhere did I see that ball go down, no where and I couldn't see Archer anywhere near the play. How did he come up with that call? I also had problems with the Lowrie penalty. I felt bad for him - there was no where for him to go. There are probably more circumstances, but I am a mere student of the game and often miss some of the finer intricacies!

It just seemed like everything went against us tonight.
  • The refereeing didn't help, we were outclassed tonight, but I feel some crucial calls at crucial points in the match went against us and it snowballed from there. Kudos to St. George for taking advantage of it.
  • yes its hard phil..... i agree during the game i was finding it hard to accept all the 50-50 calls... I am sure none of them went our way in 1st half.. couple of morris tries were dubious and even the hayne kick to burt in last few secs when he apparently offside.. but reality was that parra knew they were short staffed on the field and they sensed it amongst each other... the teams that win GFs each year usually always keep the same team on paddock week in week out.. we showed tonight its tuff for us to win without some of our players playing in key positions....we will be better for the loss and with both hindy and grothe back next week ...look out whoever we play...!!
  • Dragons have always had the refs on their side this season. Not saying that it made any difference tonight, but the double movement and held up tries were appalling.
  • wow just watched the tigers verus doggies there was a try disallowed for double movement which was very similar to one that st george scored wow whats up with these refs
    • No doubt that the Dragons were the better team, but it is still frustrating.
      • I Agree there were some terrible descisions against us. I think the count was 8-3 you cannot win the big games with a count like that against you.
  • Totally agree. The bad calls never gave us a chance to try and get back into it, but hey we never deserved to either.
