Reed Mahoney is considering the Eels revised offer of $ 2.4 million over 4 years, averaging out at 600k per year securing the young rake in the face of the Bulldogs offer of $2.6million. The deal will be structured so that it is backended slightly for years 2026 and 2027.
In response to tabling Mahoney a better deal the Eels will be looking at losing Matterson for 2024. As well as releasing Waqa Blake and his $550k when his contract expires in 2023.
I like this reality better then the Mahoney signs with Dogs one. So im going to bed tonight believing this is the real scenario.
