Reed Mahoney for Origin?

With the long term injury to Jake Friend on the weekend, could Reed Mahoney come into consideration for the Qld Origin Hooker position? Reedy has been 1 of the form hookers of the competition so far and it would seem the only person in front is Ben Hunt who is not a specialist in the position. QLD threw the hooking role to a young Cameron Smith many years ago and it saw him elevate his game to a new level. I can certainly see them doing the same with Reedy who has already been part of the junior QLD sides. I know he is young and only starting his career but I only see upsides to his selection. To have an origin hooker in the side come semi finals time would be fantastic.
