Mahoney will play part game and Stone is likely to cover the rest from the bench.
As good as it can get after his unjury - great news.
Another big issue for me is ball security with the six more rule. I don't just mean errors but also legal 1 on 1 strips.
AS already stated the six more with no stoppage will result in tries if the attacking team can hang on to the ball. This gives the defending team huge incentive to legally and illegal force an early turn over.
Refs may be looking out for illegal strips, but teams good at legal 1 on ones will be at a huge advantage. Teams with poor ball security will fail to take advantage. Hope we have been practicing defending against 1 on 1 strips and also practicing making them.

I don't see why he has to rush back. If he is ready, fine. However, the news articles make out like he is racing the clock. If he re-injures his foot, I'll be spewing. We need this kid.
He has been running on it for three weeks but only a few days of contact. I agree it is better safe than sorry. He will only be given half a game or so.
