Reddy in doubt - Inu on stand-by

Joel Reddy is in doubt for tonight's match against the Dragons, with Krisnan Inu on standby to take his place.

Reddy is struggling with a hamstring problem, according to 1Eyed Eel's sources, although he has not yet been ruled out.

While Matt Cooper's withdrawal has been a massive blog for the Dragons, the Eels have the luxury of bringing international back Inu into the side if he is needed.

  • amazing how we have such good back up players like Jonathan wright and krisnan inu, unlike the dragons
  • U mean jhon Wright! Brod went to shraks, didn't he?
    • yep
    • my bad i ment jonathan wright
  • Yes it is - and consider how many on this forum went into meltdown because we had 1 too many outside backs to start in first grade this year and thus HAD to offload one to another club!
  • I think most people were just debating the dilemma of who to pick as your starting backs in round 1 - I know I was.

There is no doubt though it is an advantage to have such a good back up - the reality is though that a player of that quality isn't going to hand around as a back up for that long.
  • Could turn out to be a blessing in disguise, inu might have an absolute blinder not knowing when his next first grade oppurtunity will be. Reddy would be at his consistent best, but if inu plays to his ability then it would be no means a loss.

By the way, before anyone calls me a reddy basher and hurls insults my way, i'm a big fan of joel and i still would have picked him ahead of inu, but the circumstances could favour us on this one.
  • In attack it is a blessing but defensively could be a problem... If Reddy out you wouuld think Inu to left centre and Tahu to right centre.
    • Anyone know yet if reddy is playing ?
