Recruitment and Retention

The NRL should be upfront on where we stand on recruitment and retention for 2017. As we now know that they can artificially inflate our cap by including previous third party contracts into our cap causing us to breach. So what about existing third parties for next year? Are they counted for this year and the next? Will they reduce our cap limit by the breached amount? How do we compete with "the level playing field" in the negotiation process with possible recruitment targets? What effect will this have on player managers and future dealings with our club? Will the NRL place a minimum(maximum) market value on any of our contracts before it ratifies any future signings? Will we be allowed to have any cap exempt third party agreements? These are some of the questions that need answering before eels fans can be hopeful of any success in the future.

"De Belin will do a lot of the clean up work, the 3rd man in for our defence. Hopgood is now not alone in that area. He will not be flashy but he will definately do his job."

"positives are Loiero is out. That is a big piece of their middle, he does a lot of clean up work in defence, tightens up the attack. No Katoa and they are umming and arring whether to play Ativalu Lasati or Joe Chan on right edge.
