Reasons to stick with BA

Our highly intelligent Eels board must have many amazing mind blowing reasons why sticking with the ineffective BA is the best option for our club . Can someone please help me list some?:

  • Money, fear of getting better, the unknown, players have it good under him. There's 5 but no good ones

  • But who else is there that's better, name me one coach other than Bennett, Cheika, McNamara, see there is no one better than BA.

    • I think there is better than BA right now. He is a good coach and has done well but if we keep saying there is no else we will never make a change. If he was in his first contract maybe. But it's 11 years and this whole team needs a style change and a change to the Defensive and attacking systems. They are dead set so predicatable in attack and their edge defence has been dicey for years. I think Holbrook from the Titans is a good coach and potentially a very good coach. He had a pretty ordinary GC Titans side in the top 8 when he was fired. He killed it in English Super League and right now he is learning under Trent Robbo at the Roosters. He will do better than a half cooked BA is doing. We must start with the coach and then let him decides which players need to go. There are some obvious blokes that need to go but most of the side would be a good starting point for any coach. Add a few to the existing side with a new style and away we go.

    • Really? This old thing again? I see some merit in the claim, but regardless this won't be improving anytime soon a new voice is needed. There are names now not all will work but rather that than BA at this point

    • Big chance no one is better than Brad. But that's not the point. Brad failed so just give it to someone else. At least then we tried to avoid failing. I mean we should be trying, right?

      • I think there are coaches better than BA, it's up to us to not stuff up the hiring process.

  • There is nobody better available (we didn't want to call Bennett).

    • I think there are some better, some proven and unproven. Are we willing to take a risk? Keeping or sacking Ba is a risk anyway.

Madge I think would be a better option. Ryles could be, Hannay could be.
