Reality check

I'm as disappointed as all. We always perform our worst against teams we should beat.BUT, if someone told me at the beginning of the season we'd make the top 4 I'd find it hard to believe. Don't you think?Maybe I'm just use to the Eels standard's!

    • It was a great atmosphere I loved being there but did expect more.....wish guth had been there
    • Agree , we should've been lining up against Brisbane next weekend .
  • We just looked nervous and frantic. Perhaps we will be better for having played in the finals.
    • We lost to a cows team minus the best player in the game & one of the best front rowers in the game. What happens next year when they come back? How do we beat em then? Although we finished in the four and most ppl are happy with that which is fine, But I'm struggling to see how we can beat these top line sides with only gutherson and French to come back, Yet we're losing our most potent player In semi? Shattered.
    • We were missing three key players as well. There are always a lot of what ifs. As long as we are always competitive we will get a crack at the big dance eventually
    • If you are looking for Jane Evans to make a difference... Prepare for being dissapointed.
  • Yes we were missing players but they were missing the best 2 in there positions. I mean if guhto plays last night or French can you see us winning? The way we played im not sure. If thurston plays last night, I'm tipping we leak a lot more points than 24. Maybe it's sour grapes I'm just lost for words really
    • Shattered, Melbourne, Broncos,Roosters and the cows are at the top of their rosters Parra is building. Melbourne lose Cronk, McLean, Harris and possibly Slater. They still will be a good team next year but not as good as this year. Broncos lose Hunt, Esse Esse, Blair and Moga they will be on the slide next year. The Roosters are losing a lot of back up players but will be very strong next year as will the Cowboys.
When you look at Parra we started this season with clear holes in our roster. We needed two front rowers, one centre, one half and a hooker. We have fixed the halfs problem, Gutho will play centre and Kane Evans will help in the front row and king is good at hooker. That only leaves us one front row short and a replacement for Semi. We will give it a better crack next year.
      • I hope you're right Brad.
