  • LOL choc what else is he going to say? hes just backing an embattled coach, its what all players do, how about Manu's speech that he would die for Brad lol.
Salmon hasnt improved under Brad, Teps stayed stagnant, Guth has gone backwards, hayne hasnt improved much, Gowers a plodder, Alvaro hasnt improved much.
How about a list of the blokes whove gone backwards under BA?
    • None of these players went backwards in 2018 Snake, they all improved. I'm here to support Brad Arthur to maintain stability in the organisation and if things don't improve dramatically by round 12 next season and being a top bloke who loves the Eels, I reckon Brad will hand in his resignation and a successor will already be in place to take over as part of a smooth transition.

With a new Footy manager and with the inclusions of extra coaching, training, fitness, etc, staff, I can only see this club getting back into the top 8 next season, and if we buy another big bopper like Tapau and another hooker like Segeyaro, we will be pushing again for top 4.

Shit happens for a variety of reasons and BA has earned the extra credit for what he has already done for our club, particularly 2016 and 2017.

With a new coliseum and improved implements of death on the field, I can only see our 2019 squad causing bloodbath after bloodbath next season and I'm looking forward to it. Will also help if someone will kindly assassinate Todd Greenweed and while at it, run a deep slashing sword across the necks of quite a few NRL employees and higher level honchos and bury their corpses as compost under our new playing field as a clear reminder of what becomes of any traitor to the great spirit of this great game.

      Go the Eels.

      • Stop huffing paint.

        • Ok Alan. I’ll admit that’s funny. Lol Even for you. ;)

      • Choc. Morris is not part of the eels anymore not sure that he's even in the Wenty list..  Sean Keppie has been signed by Manly, I doubt that a lot of the players you mention from the juniors will be playing outside the juniors also, with several of them playing ISP though.

      • Fair points on Guth but you have to admit his form has dropped right off this year compared to his better form.

Yes he improved under Brad but then went backwards.

Salmon has shown absolutely nothing coming off big wraps, im not writing him off but how can you tell if hes improved? he hasnt shown much to come to that conclusion.

Salmons years off being a quality NRL player, at this point hes nothing more than a gap filler and passenger.

Hes only just started so im not expecting huge things but i know he is way too green to be our half next year and offer anything much more than being a passenger.

        • Honestly Guth was a gun at Manly and he made their starting side in 2013 and was injured, same as 2014.  He could always play just needed to stay on the field. Brown also could always play but was just stuck behind the Burgess boys.  I was excited when we landed him because I knew the bloke could really play.

The dribble people come up with to support a coach who is about to deliver us our most embarrassing spoon yet is laughable.

    • Snake, I think Tepai has improved this year more especially in the second half of the year. Hard to call on Salmon as he's still very raw, Mahoney is a player that has improved, also Marata. Injuries hurt some of the players also.

As for Gutho, I don't think he has played to his ability solely as a consequence with his knee injury he needs a good off season to strengthen it and be ready for next year.  Hayne has improved a fair bit in the second half of the year also, Alvaro has also improved a lot, he's certainly missed in the side since his injury.

As for Gower, maybe he's not a punishing player or the like but when he plays he at least tries and can be relied upon to pull his weight compared to some others, the shame really is that he's at the end of his career rather than being some years younger, and in his time with the eels he really has not let the team down when he's been picked.
