We've asked fans to travel to a home game at Magic round this year where we are 1-6 including some 50 point poundings . Parra fans travelling to that have seen some absolute shit shows.
Now we're putting Vegas packages together asking us to pay $4000+ for the privilege to watch a team that has no history of showing up on these big occasions for the game.
We've been anchored to the bottom of the table for the best part of 4 years ... just saw our team complete at 65% in a match which was only marginally worse than the last month of footy. Our neighbours are undefeated in our home stadium every week while we watch shit show after shit show , we're relying on a tonne of blokes with under 30 games first grade experience and once and let 2 internationals go at the end of last season .
In what world are we ready for Vegas ? It's insulting the club is asking fans to folk out to go there and watch such ineptitude.

They wanted us last year but we said no as it was Ryles' first pre-season. Also, all clubs at some point were going. All but 2 (Dolphins and Bears) would have by 2027.
We're not in a better position on field to go now than we were 2 years ago Jim is kidding himself. Yes all clubs are essentially putting thier hand up to go and we're among the last but we're not even ready to ask our fans to folk out to come to Commbank every week let alone ask them to go to magic round or Vegas.
its unbelievable we went into this season and cop a 50 point pasting round 1. We took a home game to Magic round and copped our usual drubbing there. Are among the first teams out of finals contention in the competion .. we have over half a season of going to meaningless games yet again . That's 3 seasons in a row of watching a tonne of meaningless games . and to top it off the product we're putting out ranges from Gutsy at the top end to diabolical at the bottom . There is rarely any good footy. Just a hard hard slog for eels fans right now . Those of you who wanna go to Vegas because Jim says we're ready now good luck to you . If they don't recruit 3 or 4 more first grade quality players along with those to come back then it's going to be an even more expensive / longer trip home than 6 of the 7 magic rounds.
and for the record I don't blame the coach for any of this . The problems in our game are fundamental errors and concentration lapses made by guys who are being asked to play way too much first grade. Guys that aren't first grade quality being mixed in with guys making early career first grade errors. A shocking combination.
Absolutely agree and will not pay thousands of dollars until I know we have secured a squad that is more than gutsy at best.
