Re-sign Teapai Moeroa

Simple question - how much would you invest on this young prodigy with unlimited potential and almost definate future Origin player.Still only 21, and the only player who currently compares with Teapai in this elite age group would probably be Jake Trbojovic sp.Rumors are that Rugby union are also circling Tepai.450k + imoWhat's your number ?

  • 350K a year. No more, not until I see him play to his full potential.
  • 3 yr 350. 450. 550
  • We will see him blossom this year with greater stability, In the playing group.
    • I agree Mule..and how fit does he look..lean and mean.

    • He wants to stay at parra. He has refused other offers to stay

  • Il go far as $400k to $450k a year no more

But he will stay for less I think

    ILL BE BACK

  • If Union are after him and he wants to go, there will be little we can do to match the money they will offering. But if he wants to stay and fulfill his potential by playing Origin, winning premierships and representing Australia, then I think $400-$500k a season for the next 3yrs is what should be offered. He is only 21 and will get the big money on future contracts should he go to that next level. He has future captain written all over him.
    • Depends whether you're talking about overseas union clubs or ARU. Overseas union clubs have money but I don't think I've heard any rumours about French or Japanese etc clubs making any offers for him. Australian rugby has no money, they'd be unable to offer any more than Parra could.

If Guthbus works out to be a capable half and we don't need to go chasing an established half for 2018 then we should have plenty of $$'s to keep Tep. Plus the money we had put aside to re-sign Semi is available now that he is off to Toulon

    • Very true. I would like to see him stay and if it's between us and an Australian Union side then I think we should be looking good to keep him.
  • Not sure why there is the thought that Yawnion has money to splash around on players. They are basically broke currently and have even been advertising for player support , ie transport etc for up and comers, and asking these jobs to be carried out free of charge

Certainly travel is one carrot, not sure that is something Tepai would see as advantageous. Wait and see I guess, but BA has always spoken as if he is a senior player at the club and important overall
