Ok, now we've been great over the last few weeks but people will admit, a few members of this team is inconsistent. No wholesale changes, absolutely not. And not stating this because we lost. Mannah is obviously in, and it looks like Alvaro will make way

I have always wondered why Terepo was being picked, he is really inconsistent, and it is a shame because he can play like he did against Canberra which is very good. However, although Alvaro didn't play that well at the start, you cannot tell me that Terepo deserved more game time than Alvaro. The players that I'm saying to drop are not terrible, just there are guys below them that can offer exactly the same, or even more.

I would pick Gower over Moeroa, In defence, they are the same, which is solid. In attack, Gower I think offers more. But If he keeps Moeroa, not a bad decision at all.

And when he is fit and after proving himself in Wenty, and seeing if he is ready French would be a very nice addition (But only when ready, which is very close, if he plays like he did in his 20's games this year). And move Gordon to the wing. Gutherson is average, not terrible, just normal, does his job and tries hard but that is it. I like Gutherson, and at the moment he's the best we have. Until French is ready.

Other than that last try, we held our own and it was a good performance. We have the defence, we rattled them with our attack at the start that when we got to defend, one penalty led to another and they capitalised, which we didn't, and that us learning as a team

5/8 is still good and still top 4 (if Warriors, do us a favour) and Canterbury will be tough, but are beatable.

No need for huge changes, Mannah is one, but wouldn't hurt bringing Gower in for Terepo or Moeroa, and that's it. Keep guys on notice, and Peni seems to need a boost to play well, a week in wenty will do that.

Don't be too harsh in the comment, I doubt anyone will agree, just what I think, Lol doesn't mean it is right though

  • I like Gordon at full back.. We can't move him ... Agree regarding Gower for Terepo.. Gutho is rocks and diamonds... But I don't know who we should bring in to replace him
    • Faraimo in for Gutherson. We need his big carries
    • Faraimo or Morgan ( when fit)
They can do same job as gutherson, only faraimo is better running the football
  • I think we looked frustrated due to every call going the cowboys way. The Cowboys always attack the ball in making tackles and get away with it. Gutherson needs s stint in Wenty to build some confidence as he has too many errors in his game. A lot of heart was shown but it's hard to win a game we were never going to be allowed to win.
  • I miss Gower. He lifts mid way through 2nd half when we need it. Norman being sent off probably helped cost us the game but he looked at what was in front of him. Was fair sad about the rest of game. I lost respect for Thurston tonight. Seemed every pass is forward without the blink of an eye.
  • Mannah for Alvaro/Degois will be the only change. The remaining team is very balanced, so definitely no changes.
    • I agree chief that there will be no changes bar mannah, but only 1 or 2 pieces of the puzzle left
  • Peats was hooked after that high tackle. Peni after his drop ball. High intensity game but too many missed tackles and drop balls. Definitely weren't 'headstrong' tonight after everything went against us.
If there are no changes I'm at least expecting a flogging at training this week.
  • Gower any day. Anyone count how many times Terepo loses the ball??!!! To me it seens; every game he averages 2 loose carries!! Alvaro and Moeroa & Gower for 1st team.
    • I agree with terepo, but not moeroa. he has disappointed

Put Alvaro on bench and gower to start.

"I did modern day as 1998 onwards as I didn't see them play, as some here haven't. Where I believe majority of people here have seen all the modern day players play.
Plus it frees up some spots like we all know who 5/8 will be but now no idea."
