Rd 2 Pre-Game Stats Blog (St George Illawarra Dragons)

Another week, another pre-season stats blog. 
This one is slightly longer as I've gone over all the stats relating to the St George Dragons, the Illawarra Steelers and the St George Illawarra Dragons. 
So bare with it ever so slightly and enjoy the stats in front of you. Enjoy & let me know your thoughts.

Rd 2 Pre-Game Stats Blog

This one will be split into three parts (St George, Illawarra & St George/Illawarra) for the biggest wins and losses and cumulative winning percentages at the respective venues.
As for the list of all point-scorers, this will be a total number incorporating games against all three teams.

St George Dragons

The very first game played between the two sides was played on April 25, 1947, in a 23-13 loss for the Eels. The Eels sole Eels scorer that day was Dan Munro.

At Cumberland Oval, the Eels have won 10 from 34 games at a winning percentage of 29.4%.
The sides played out four draws at Cumberland Oval; a 14-all draw on August 6, 1949, a 15-all draw on August 12, 1950, a 12-all draw on April 9, 1966 & a 17-all draw on June 29, 1975.
The Eels biggest win against St George at Cumberland Oval was a 25-8 win on July 23, 1978.
The Eels worst loss against St George at Cumberland Oval was a 61-4 loss on June 7, 1959.

At Hurstville Oval, the Eels have won 2 from 3 games at a winning a percentage of 66.6%.
The Eels biggest win against St George at Hurstville Oval was a 16-10 win on July 10, 1948.
The Eels worst loss against at George at Hurstville Oval was a 29-14 loss on July 12, 1947.

At Kogarah Stadium, the Eels have won 11 from 41 games at a winning percentage of 26.8%.
The sides played out one draw at Kogarah Stadium; a 15-all draw on August 23, 1998.
The Eels biggest win against St George at Kogarah Stadium is a 27-12 win on August 14, 1994.
The Eels worst loss at Kogarah Stadium is a 56-6 loss on May 21, 1995.

At Parramatta Stadium, the Eels have won 3 from 9 games at a winning percentage of 33.3%.
The Eels biggest win against St George at Parramatta Stadium was a 36-6 win on March 16, 1986.
The Eels worst loss against St George at Parramatta Stadium was a 34-8 loss on March 17, 1991.
The sides played out one draw at Parramatta Stadium; a 12-all draw on August 29, 1997.

At the Sydney Cricket Ground, the Eels have won 5 from 21 games at a winning percentage of 23.8%.
The sides played out 1 draw the SCG, a 9-all draw on September 9, 1977.
The Eels biggest win against St George at the SCG was a 31-6 win on August 28, 1976.
The Eels worst loss against St George at the SCG was a 52-0 defeat on April 2, 1960.

At the Sydney Sports Ground, the Eels have won 2 from 3 games at a winning percentage of 66.6%.
The sides played out 1 draw at the SSG; an 11-all draw on June 1, 1968.
The Eels biggest win against St George at the SSG was a 8-0 win on June August 25, 1968.

Illawarra Steelers

The very first game played between the two sides was a 23-11 win on May 9, 1982. The scorers that day were Steve Ella (2), John Muggleton, Michael Lans & Brett Kenny.

The Eels biggest win against the Steelers at WIN Stadium was a 38-12 win on April 17, 1983.
The Eels worst defeat against the Steelers at WIN Stadium was a 52-12 loss on July 16, 1995.

At Belmore Oval, the Eels have won 4 of 4 games at a winning percentage of 100%.
The Eels biggest win against the Steelers at Belmore Oval was a 55-5 win on May 30, 1982.

At Parramatta Stadium, the Eels have won 6 of 8 games at a winning percentage of 75%.
The Eels biggest win against the Steelers at Parramatta Stadium was a 12-8 win on March 30, 1986.
The Eels worst defeat against the Steelers at Parramatta Stadium was a 34-6 loss on June 13, 1993.

St George Illawarra Dragons

The very first game played between the two sides was a 20-10 win to the Eels on March 6, 1999. Jason Smith (2), Dennis Moran & Jarrod McCracken were the scorers.

At ANZ Stadium, the Eels have won 1 from 3 games at a winning percentage of 33.3%.
The Eels biggest win against the Dragons at ANZ Stadium was a 20-10 win on March 6, 1999.
The Eels worst defeat against the Dragons at ANZ Stadium was a 40-14 loss on August 30, 2008.

    • The Dragons aren't bad defenders so it won't be an easy feat. Though Semi showed good promise so he should be able to create some opportunities. 

  • Rey Rey, your people couldn't put together stats these comprehensive if they had every statistical analysis book on rugby league in front of them. 

    So instead of being snide, either talk directly about the stats and what they present in relation to the game or don't say anything at all.
