RCG closing in on Eels switch

Reagan Campbell-Gillard has moved another step closer to joining the Eels next year. NRL.com understands his manager Mark Stewart met Panthers officials on Thursday to discuss his future.

The Eels are still keen to lure the out-of-favour Panthers prop to the club next year despite the former Blues forward still having another five years to run on his deal.

Parramatta are willing to pay just shy of $600,000 a year for his services, however the Panthers need to determine if they want to cover close to $300,000 in the difference of his current deal.

The Eels remain in the box seat to secure his services with a potential deal to be inked in the coming weeks.

  • Meh!!

    • Better then what we’ve got, him & Paulo along with Evans off the bench & we’ve got a decent front rower rotation

      • 600K ?????

      • Not at 600k a season he's not, hope we don't lose Kaufusi or Stefano signing this Sloth.

        • 600k is a fair price for him considering the market value of a front rower of his calibre, he’s playing in a toxic environment under a coach who has dented his confidence. A change of environment and club will do him wonders.

We won’t lose anyone Al chillax, with Mannah & Moeroa fucking off & Gower retiring I expect Stefano & Kaufusi to be right in the frame next year. They will both be more then ready.

          • LOL you expect??? When have you been right about anything on here???  You are a lying BS artist.  You haven't got a clue but everything the club does is amazing,  lol absolute plonker.

And how long are Penrith willing to tip in money??? 5 more years at 300k??  I doubt it, 600k is massive overs on this years form let alone if 2 years down the track we start paying full fare for this bloke.

            • Penrith will be paying for the duration of his contract you’d think, they are stupid enough too. Find it very hard to believe we’d even consider taking his full 900k contract on at any point in time.

              • It is the only way it makes any sort of sense on our end, but we are paying Micheal Jennings 900k this year so who knows???

                • Jennings got an increase for this year?
