RCG 200 NRL games

Reagan Campbell-Gillard plays game 200 on Sunday, being 14 shy of 100 games for Parramatta. From being one of the best up coming Props of the game, to signing a crazy 5 year contract with Penrith, lasting one year with that deal before breaking his jaw in Origin and having Cleary drain all of the confidence out of him. Needs a release, gets one with Parra, plenty here thought it was a bad move considering we were going for Welch as well. Many felt Welch was the better option with attitude concerns being brought up about RCG. Welch agreed with Parra before an achillies injury forced us to back out and go for RCG instead. All i can say is thank god as Welch, though been great since 2020 for Melbourne, has declined rapidly the last year and a bit. RCG is still going strong. Declined maybe a tiny bit but is still good enough to play Origin.

Got another year left on his deal and i think he will retire an Eel and sign on for another year or two to see it out. Well done mr love me sexy, porno mo and all, had his try scoring song as "love me sexy" by Jackie Moon in the classic 2008 Basketball movie 'Semi Pro'. Just hilarious and shows the type of personality he is.

Good on you Reg.

  • RCG was a brilliant signing. He's done very well for us.

  • Love reg, arguably my favourite player

  • When they talk about the really good front rowers in the game RCG often gets forgotten. I think he is right up there. We really missed him last year when Payne Haas injured him

    • Well i always shout from mountains about him when rep time comes up and people dismiss him. Others rather Utoikamanu and Saifiti brothers over him. I would even rate him over Paulo who got 11 straight Origin games. RCG only able to get 3. But then again there was also the whole Penrith situation where they didn't want him and Freddy bowed to constant Origin underachiever Cleary.

  • Big Reg is one of Parra's best signings in a very long time and only Guth could rival him.

I hope the boys rally together and get the win for him.

    • Gutho, Moses and RCG are the best in recent memory.

  • RCG was a great signing, outside of his suspension last year, he hasn't had a bad game for us.

He's at the peak of his powers, i reckon he's got a good 3 - 4 years left in him, barring any serious injuries.

Lets hope the boys rip in and get a solid vicity for him

    • Thing about RCG, compared to other Props of the past for us, is consistency. He has been one of the most consistent Props the club has had in recent memory. He was considering giving the game away in 2019 as he was just not enjoying it anymore. Think that mainly stemmed from a few things. 1) They changed his running style to avoid injuries and didn't suit him, when he played poor due to it he was dropped, that is poor. 2) He just didn't fit with the players. There was a report once that the Penrith players considered him a weirdo and like kids at school just didn't want to associate with him. Both club and fans embraced RCG as soon as he signed, majority of support came before he even got on the field which would have made him feel a sense of belonging.

Milestone games are not a great omen for us, though Brown's 100th in Round 1 could be an outlier or a change in mentality.

  • I reckon Reg will go after Paseka this week. Could be fireworks out in the middle for a bit. If you stop Paseka you stop Manly's go forward. Reg loves a big hit and he'll be fired up for this one. Can't wait.

    • Reg loves an opposition Prop that stands up to him.

We can then get a bunch of Qld players but leave them up there to thrive in their local environment."
