we didn’t make a play for segyaro when he was in limbo & looking for a club, doubt we would make a play for him now. Matterson, BA didn’t want a few years ago so much so he was playing Ron Massey cup, so don’t think he would want to come here.

I don’t have an opinion on whether we should make a play for Segeyaro or not. However it was reported in the media at the time that he was made an offer by the Eels but rejected it in favour of the Sharks.
Subsequent to that the Sharks got into Cap problems and did not come through with the offer. He then played Canterbury cup until the Broncos made signed him.
It has also been reported that Matterson was let go over a disagreement on what was his best position. BA wanted him to play on the Edge
matterson is an intesting one, left the rorters for more money (rumoured 350k per season) and a 3 years deal, has 1 decent year and gets the shits and demands more money.
