  • we didn’t make a play for segyaro when he was in limbo & looking for a club, doubt we would make a play for him now. Matterson, BA didn’t want a few years ago so much so he was playing Ron Massey cup, so don’t think he would want to come here.

  • Matterson yes Segeyaro no

  • Segs would be a bad call

  • I don’t have an opinion on whether we should make a play for Segeyaro or not. However it was reported in the media at the time that he was made an offer by the Eels but rejected it in favour of the Sharks.

Subsequent to that the Sharks got into Cap problems and did not come through with the offer. He then played Canterbury cup until the Broncos made signed him.

It has also been reported that Matterson was let go over a disagreement on what was his best position. BA wanted him to play on the Edge

  • matterson is an intesting one, left the rorters for more money (rumoured 350k per season) and a 3 years deal, has 1 decent year and gets the shits and demands more money.

dont think i want someone with that attitude at the club.

no dickhead policy works for me.

thus segayaro should stay where he is.

    • I sounds like Matterson is doing a Kaylan Ponga

      • Yeah - remember the good old days where players were paid according to the ability they had already shown and what they had already achieved rayher than bullshit media hype and massively inflated egos.

The player market is more like a futures market these days and, man, there have been some terrible investments in recent years.

        • All the more reason for the game to completely overhaul the entire contracting system

    • Yep. That'll do me too

  • I like Ray Stone, has the potential to develop into a good club player.

No to Matterson he seems to have issues with coaches.

Seggy, no thanks had his chance to come over when we offered him a contract.

"Already have some young players in there. Other than Kelly, Ado-Carr  Paulo, Debelin and Walker, most of the other players are pretty young. Saxon Prike finds himself playing NRL well before he expected to. Throwing them all in together is asking…"
