Ray Stone Appreciation blog

I'm a Stone fan have been for a while seeing him start and pull off some of those hits to show what he's capable off I hope it's enough to earn him a bench spot.

I'd like to see him play a bit on the edge to add a bit to his game.

Also Hayze Perham showed alot of nice things.

Ky Rodwell aswell.

In the end we were never going to win that we had 2 backs on the bench and lost 2 forwards to HIAs.

If there is such a thing as a posive loss that was one

  • I have said it before, he may be a stone but he hits like a rock. The guy is pound for pound the biggest hitter in the NRL

    • He has a great technique and is so tough. He should be proud of that performance last night, he was great to watch. The commentators love him too!

  • I rated  Rodwell as well. 3 months since last game

  • Tonight he was Gillmeister-like and it was beautiful. 80 mins and did not back off ever, kept hitting with intent right to the end, even when we were well beaten... exactly the attitude you want on the field. Deserves a bench spot... be it as a 14 or a back rower.

  • Stone, Rodwell, Makatoa were great tonight I thought

  • What will our lineup look like next week. Curious to see what u guys are thinking.

    • I'm just hoping that BA doesn't keep Opacic instead of Penisini.

      • I don't think so bro.

        • Opacic was playing on the left, don't think Penisini will be dropped.

  • Stone was excellent tonight but I like him as another middle forward, good rotation for NBrown. Excellent defender and can do the tough carries out of our D.

How much do you think the game makes from State of Origin? Ticket sales alone would be huge. Let's say over the 3 games 160,000 tickets are sold for an average price of $150 each. This equals $24,000,000 plus broadcasting revenue and sponsorship…"
