IF someone could please..cheersSo it seem pricey was only in it for himself. Won't he just accept the loss and fuck off!Assuming he is going to take them to court, on what grounds? To prove he was eligible to run. Couldn't he have done that earlier?

  • Please Ray, go and see a financial advisor who can help you plan for some type of future.

There is no pay day coming from the club and if you want to hear the brutal honest truth, none of us fans want you within cooee of the club or involved in anyway. All you are doing is erasing the great memories we had of you as a player but we are all so very, very tired of you now. Don't waste anymore of your time & energy "fighting on" the fans voted (spoke) today. We do not want you. Sorry.

  • Wow.... WTF is his problem? Read on.....

PARRAMATTA’S boardroom dramas are not over yet despite a convincing victory for chairman Steve Sharp and his team at Sunday’s club election.

While the seven current directors were voted back into power, former club champion Ray Price declared to fight on in an interview with Triple M.

Price said even if there was no change at boardroom level the war was just getting started.

“This is my club. Not anyone else’s. This is my club. And I want it back,” Price said.

“At the moment the board are running their own race, running it how they want to run it.”

Price was upset that he was not allowed to stand because “they said I

am not a member who has paid his way”.

“I thought, ‘shit’, I thought I played 11 years for them,” he said.

“I have bled a hell of a lot on that field for them. But they want more.

“It is my club and I don’t give a rat’s what they try and do. I won’t give in.

“I have a little surprise coming up.

“If we don’t win this election, I have a little surprise for them.

“The boys are just going to tremble when they find out.”

Price would not reveal what the ‘surprise’ was.

But what you can guarantee is that despite the win for Sharp’s team they’d better get ready for another battle.

Which is probably the last thing long suffering fans would want to hear after a week of embarrassing headlines that surrounded the election — and the Eels’ ongoing lack of results on the field that continued with Sunday’s 28-10 loss to Melbourne.

    The vote count:

    STEVE SHARP 821

    GEOFF GERARD 768

    PAUL GARRARD 731

    TANYA GADIEL 730

    PETER SERRAO 711

    TOM ISSA 687

    ANDREW CORDWELL 661

    • Thanks GP
  • His political currency is completely spent. He's talking and no one is listening anymore. Sad state of affairs for a club legend but one entirely of his own making.
    We're all moving on now.
  • Wasn't he working as a bus driver on the Gold Coast, or am I thinking of another former great?

  • What will it take to convince this moron that it was not Sharp and co that stopped him from running. The rules clearly state you have to be a paid member to run for elections. FMD this guy is stupid, he really is. I hope he does take us to court. He will waste the little money he has left and be seen at the club pan handling. I cant believe id see the day I would be talking like this about a player that gave me so much joy as a kid but he's brought it on himself. To be honest I'm a bit heart broken its come to this.

  • Hadleys probably in on it too!
  • BWAHAHAHAHA the sad thing is i wouldnt be surprised at all, and nobody will be able to say the signs wernt there, Ray humiliated himself on MMM, i felt sorry for him.

True RL Warrior, one of my fav players ever, an inspiration and hard man on the park, i still respect him for that, but Ray just needs to stay away from the running of the club.

If anybody heard him today they would have realised why Ray is kept away from the team, because he is simply not mentally up to it and he has burned so many bridges hes stranded on the mad ray price island.

  • Well Fong Hadley's ex is still alive and kicking as far as I know but give it time I suppose..

  • I find this distressing.A great man reduced to making threats. If he was a jilted woman,I'd be keeping a close eye on any pets I have, just in case Ray boils them.I'd be happy if the club slings him $20k as a long service payment.Hopefully Ray would get the hint.If that fails an AVO to stop him coming within 200 metres of the club's premises.A mental assessment might not go amiss, psychosis or the onset of dementia are very real possibilities.

Just to put a conspiracy theory out there,I wouldn't be surprised that Dennis the Menace led the sad bloke on,promising him the world if they buried the hatchet, knowing full well that Ray would never win and would end up ranting at the world, thus being the final humiliation Dennis puts on his old enemy.

And to Coryns point, to win in Melbourne, you need to be perfect - and you need to be given a fair chance.
