There are some quality players in the team who quite capable but they are lacklustre and have no desire. They certainly seem to be a team who is poorly coached.
I am really not sure whether the hard-line attitude of Madge is going to be the answer straight away.

I give a shit and so should you. We can’t just bounce back and forth between factions forever. So if you fall for everything Hadley says or Eagleston or whoever then we’re going to go nowhere.
We’re in a hole of our own making. But for the first time ever we are making real plans to change our club for good. The sooner the factions retire the better for everyone.
Until Max gets his reforms through the faction pricks are going nowhere.
