Rating Steve Sharp

As we approach the end of the calendar year, I'd like to blog about Steve Sharp. How would you rate him in his role? I'll rate him as follows:Football related appointments - 9/10Football communication - 9/10Administrative appointments - 9/10Administrative decisions - 8.5/10Passion for the club 10/10From my perspective, I would rate Sharp overall as 9/10.For me that means that he is the best chairman that we have had at the club in my time as a fan. I doubt that the club could be in better hands as we move forward. He is one of those ex-players who truly loved his club and wanted future glory for it. He is not stuck in the past or jealous of the recognition given to current players. After insisting on Arthur's appointment he now leaves football decisions to football operations staff.Well done Steve Sharp! I'm staying blue and gold. I'm glad that you did too!

  • Agree 60s, he gets a high pass mark, his time in has been faultless really, its imperitive that everybody votes for Steve to keep him in.

    • He was actually one of my favourite players back in the day. Like a Gower, he just always got the job done for little fanfare. An honest toiler. He played a significant role on the try that put Parra in front in the 81 GF. After he retired he was always at the games cheering Parra on with his family. A real parra man through and through.
    • Has anyone heard wen the vote will take place?
  • Other than some early blips where he got caught letting the jaw wag the brain he has been exceptional and the first great decision was putting his nuts of the line for arthur the second was implementing the head coach football coach structure the third has been investigating the corrupt 3p dogs - an excellent administrator the likes of which parra haven't seen in a very long time
    His final tests are amending the abortion of a constitution and winning a premiership
    • ↑ What Schueb said. He has many challenges ahead including but not limited to;

      * Having a consistently performing NRL team playing semis footy
      * Playing footy at a redeveloped Pirtek
      * Getting rid of the likes of Spagnolo, Lyn Wallace & others that are divisive figures in our club
      * Constitutional reform
      * Improving match day experience for fans
      * Developing our junior academy into worlds best. Training at the new HQ is a good start.
      * Banning LU from the internet
  • So far so good, very good football brain .lucky we have him in the role .
    • Seems to treat members with high respect like a family . Likes to keep everyone in the loop that is the high end of encouraging allegiance and communication. Gud job.
  • Better than we've had in a while. Was able to find money to send players and officials over to the States, has money to begin production on the CoE, so far has appointed the right coach, and probably the best thing is that it seems the leaks have stopped. We must hope that those only there to only inflate their ego and bring the club down are not involved, directly or indrectly, anymore with the club.

    Now we just need the on-field team to do well and his job will become a lot easier.

    •   Ham Sammich would you not call the Foran saga a leak? It must have come from high up. Even from the chairman and or the CEO?  All these gushing tributes to Steve Sharp makes the traditional story of Pygmalion seem like small beer indeed?

  • Will we are lucky we got him .I wish they hurry up and do up Parramatta Stadium. And get more home game played there and get better training gym for the players so we can get some good players want to come to us
