It amazes me how many times Ive heard people complain about the 'Rorters' and Storm and that the system is unfair and that they are both rorting the system in some way. This makes no sense. Rather than complaining we should be finding out how they are doing it and then implementing it ourselves.
In business I see this all the time- the also-rans whinge, moan and bitch about the opposition who are beating them all the time, but they make no effort to find out why the opposition are successful on a consistent basis. If they had the courage and brains to think it through and then the character to put in the effort required into improving and educating themselves they would find that their results would improve as well.
So why on earth would you not want to find out how two of the best teams for well over a decade have been able to consistently recruit well and perform on the field on a consistent basis. I know some will come up with excuses such as TPA's, contacts and so on, but thats not the point. The point is HOW are they doing it and lets do it ourselves. Theres no need to reinvent the wheel here. No club has exclusivity to TPA's, contacts and so forth. Rather than complain lets find out How and What they are doing and then get things in motion to make it happen here. This is smart and far more productive and will pay dividends moving forward.
On another note, I am extremely happy with the way the team has been performing this season. The recruitment of Junior and Ferguson have been a masterstroke. I'm particularly happy with the minutes that Junior is putting in, its a great testament to him and the coaching staff, and Im happy with the way the boys have lifted themselves in 2019. Lets keep it up and build on the momentum. By the way, who says we cant win this coming Saturday! I think we can.

Good plan, but dont forget all good plans like your suggesting, start with recognising that someone is doing it better/ or cheating, then complain about it first, then dig deeper, then copy it if ligit.
I'm asuming by your post that you are going to dig deeper and find out how they do it, then how we can replicate it. Otherwise arnt you just complaining about others complaining, and if so then that amazes me.

Lol!!! No not complaining, I only complain when the kids do something to cheese me off. It was merely an observation that Ive noticed. It came about when an associate had a whinge about their opposition and I simply pointed out that rather than complain about it, take the fight up to them and find out how they are winning and copy them.I like the pun though!
LOL - yeah i agree mate, Hopefully when the rmetaphorical rope is untied from our boards hands we can begin to work our way towards matching the legit ways the roosters, storm and broncs do it. I still however have my suspicions that the cap may still be being breached due to the wonderful rule "At Arms Length". it seems some clubs have shorter arms than others.

I'd rather try and win the comp fairly. Than to win the comp and get caught cheating whether it's a few years down the track.
Who says they are cheating? Is this based on fact or heresay? All Im saying is that they have been successful for a long time so why not find out how they are doing it. IF they are cheating then they will be caught. But the fact that they have bee successful for a long time and here has been no evidence of cheating becons the question of 'How?' and lets emulate them ourselves.
Good points Frankie and well put. I wonder if it was in fact a gerbil rather than the devon sandwiches because I feel that a number of people from that era dont think they have done anything wrong.

You have to be pretty stupid if you don't think they are cheating. Whether it's through little business agreements that the NRL don't know about or it's just cash being traded hands they are still cheating. Fong you don't have to put a summary of yourself on here bud it's all good. Everyone already knows. The Steve sharp era look alright behind closed doors, we signed some decent players and the club looked on the up. When everything come out it was a shit fight which no one would be thinking they did a good job now. They fucked the club up, for me personally that's why I don't trust this board and management in place. Yes they are financially getting us out of the shit fight the other dicks left but we still haven't achieved glory on the field which should be there main priority. Cutting all staff back last year showed how much it hurt us to achieve what? A wooden spoon and to be financially better. You need to spend money to get the right people on board so I hope they learnt from that mistake.
The club is doing better financially and on the playing field., despite the fact that staff cuts were made.. When a business is losing a large amount of money , it is prudent to make savings in regards to bloated staff numbers..
The additional expense of a Football manager was good management as our coach needed all the help he could get and is born out by the better results we are getting. I did not understand your garbled post which did not make any sense, but you will be less cranky if you get behind this management team and you may yet see glory for our team. Enjoyment of football on a weekly basis is far more important to me then glory, which is only fleeting.
Frankie, the NRL audit team has its head up something because history tells us that Parra, dogs, storm, warriors and sharks all past the NRL audit system and only got caught because they either self reported or a disgruntled employee told them.
i don’t know if they are cheating or not but dam they seem to be able to spread that cap a long, long way. If Scott Morrison wants to win the election he should employ the Roosters accountant as treasurer.
