Worth the risk? Probably not worth it to Peats so early in his career.
Players like Tonga undergo transplant surgery to prolong their career. Players like Stapleton undergo strange methods because they have recurring issues.
Can't see a player like Peats, who is young and has never had issues before risking it, to be honest.
If reports were right that Peats was playing through other niggling injuries then you would want him to get em all right first. Imagine him playing injury free, he would be performing even better than he was for us.
Pretty sure Covell had artificial ligaments. It meant he returned sooner, not sure if it effected his longevity
Covell had artificial ligaments. Short-term the rehabilitation is quicker. Long term, the new ligaments don't last as long as the traditional reconstructive technique. Covell had the artificial ones inserted because he was retiring. Peats has another 10 years to go.
